Veronica Mwangi-Kiyo heads the worship department. She is a born- again Christian who has led worship in Kenya and the USA for several years. She is undeniably passionate about creating meaningful worship and connecting with people through music.
Veronica is a mother, a wife and a nurse who loves serving and helping others. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the university of Texas at Tyler.
Wanjiru, Mwangi a devoted born-again Christian, has actively served in various leadership roles within her local church. As a children’s ministry teacher, she has imparted knowledge and values to young hearts for several years. Additionally, Wanjiru has contributed as a service moderator and played a vital role in the home-cell group and children’s ministry leadership team.
Her passion extends beyond the church walls. Wanjiru is deeply committed to outreach ministry, particularly to the homeless community in the Dallas area. For several years, she collaborated with Hope Restored Ministries and Threshing Floor Ministries to provide nourishing, home-cooked five-course meals to over 400 people in a homeless shelter each month. Currently, she continues her impactful work by serving the DFW homeless community through Threshing Floor Ministries.
Wanjiru’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). Her dedication to both spiritual and practical service exemplifies her compassionate heart and unwavering commitment to making a positive impact.
Mary Obege , Originally from western Kenya (specially Kakamega) is devoted individual with heart of service. She is married to George Obege and blessed to have four children, two girls,two boys and one grandchild.
Professionally ,Mary is a nurse dedicated to caring for others .Her faith plays a central role in her life , and she actively served as a committee member for Favored Daughter of the King (FDK ). Recently she was privileged to become a board member of this remarkable organization. Mary’s unwavering belief in the FDK’s mission has been true blessing and she cherishes the opportunity to work alongside everyone for such a worthy cause .
